Spring Beginner classes are now winding down. Enrolement from the beginning of the year has been good. We will be starting beginner classes again in September. For a complete schedule, click the "Join a Class" link above. The schedule for Open houses is also listed there.
We have started a new system for Open House drop-ins where all Continuing classes, during the first week of the month are each designated as Open House dates. The pubic are invited to drop in to any of these Continuing classes and will be introduced to Taoist taichichuan.
The Wasaga Beach Intensive in May, lead by Judy Birch, saw over 30 members attend to help raise funds toward the lantern purchase. As a result, our commitment is just about complete. Thanks to all who were able to attend and to Kay Pasmore for organizing the post-intensive meal.
Owen Sound demo in April, had a great turnout. Members from Creemore, Wasaga Beach and Collingwood joined Meaford and Owen Sound members and most met afterwords for the traditional Chinese meal at a local restaurant. Thanks to Joan Skelton for doing such a great organizing job. (See some pix to the left).
Upcoming Intensive
Our next intensive is Wednesday, July 9 from 6:30 9:30 pm. at the Collingwood location. A potluck dinner proceeds at 5:30. All members are encouraged to attend. Peoceeds will be going to TTCS to help defray some of the costs associated with Awareness Day in Ottawa.
Garden Party
Calling all green thumbs! The garden party will be assembling to dig, plant and prune around the building on Saturday, May 24th starting at 11:00. Bring your own tools and impliments and if you have some plants to donate, please talk to Laura Walton, Moira or Anne Fisher.
Open Practice
The club is available for open practice on Thursday mornings from 10:00 am till noon. This is a great opportunitity to brush up and for beginner students to review and practice their lessons.
Other News
The new roof (steel!) is now officially attached to the building and is looking great.
George Street now offers members the opportunity to drop in and do a set or two, twice a week. Feel free to drop in, do 2 or 3 sets, relax and carry on with your day. There is no instruction...just sets. So if your looking to kickstart your day, this is the place. Times are 8:30 9:30 am, Mondays and Wednesdays.
Upcoming Health Talk Dr. Bruce McFarlane will be leading another Health Talk in September. Date to be confirmed. The purpose of the talk will be to introduce the general public to the Health benefits of Taoist Tai Chichuan. Members of the Medical community will also be encouraged to attend. Stay tuned for more details.
Creemore Continuing Class Expanded The Creemore Continuing class has now been expanded to twice monthly instruction. A Continuing instructor will now be in attendance the First and Third Tuesday from 7:00 9:00 pm at Station on the Green. The remaining two Tuesday evenings are designated Open Practices for Continuing students. A beginner instructor will be in attendance to lead the class in review for those sessions.
Interim Monthly Meetings In addition to the regular monthly council meeting, Continuing instructors will be getting together the 3rd Thursday each month for a dinner meeting at George Street, starting at 5:45. If members have an issue or concern they would like to have addressed, this is a good opportunity to express it. Drop in, or let Ted know in advance that you would like to attend.
Saturday morning Continuing class
Ted Sandford's Continuing class from 9 11 am at George St is our 4th Continuing class of the week and attendance for this class is also growing steadily.

Our monthly council meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month starting at 5:45. All member are encouraged to turn out and participate in the operations of the club.
